Enjoy fruit and cream filled puff pastry shells ! Create delicious tiny desserts with this lovely and easy recipe.
Ingredients (4 servings):
(for pastry cream)
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 20 g of flour
- 40 g of sugar
- 1/4 milk
- vanilla extract
(for the topping)
- 4 puff pastry shells
- fruits
Steps:
for the pastry cream:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg, egg yolk, and sugar until it form a white paste.
- Add the flour and mix well.
- Warm the milk in the saucepan with vanilla extract.
- Pour the hot milk to the egg mixture and whisk continuously to combine.
- Pour the mixture into a saucepan and slowly bring to a boil (stirring constantly).
- When the mixture starts to thicken, remove from the heat and wait until cool.
for the topping:
- Cut fruits into small pieces.
- Remove the cap from each shell.
- Spoon about 3 tablespoons pastry cream into each pastry shell.
- Add sliced fruits on top of the cream.
