Enjoy fruit and cream filled puff pastry shells ! Create delicious tiny desserts with this lovely and easy recipe.

 

Ingredients (4 servings):

(for pastry cream)

  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 20 g of flour
  • 40 g of sugar
  • 1/4 milk
  • vanilla extract

(for the topping)

  • 4 puff pastry shells
  • fruits

 

Steps:

for the pastry cream:

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg, egg yolk, and sugar until it form a white paste.
  2. Add the flour and mix well.
  3. Warm the milk in the saucepan with vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the hot milk to the egg mixture and whisk continuously to combine.
  5. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and slowly bring to a boil (stirring constantly).
  6. When the mixture starts to thicken, remove from the heat and wait until cool.

 

for the topping:

  1. Cut fruits into small pieces.
  2. Remove the cap from each shell.
  3. Spoon about 3 tablespoons pastry cream into each pastry shell.
  4. Add sliced fruits on top of the cream.
