Valentine’s Day Tray

February 14, 2018

Happy Valentine’s Day !

To celebrate this special, here is a new DIY to know how to customize a tray for a lovely breakfeast or snack time !

This Valentine’s Day DIY is so easy and to made : all you have to do is find red tissu or paper, red thread, a wood tray and follow the instructions below !

I hope that everyone will receive and give something to their special ones ❤

What you need :

scissors, red thread, red paper, red felt or red tissu (or paper), adhesive tape, needle, white thread, paper punch (heart shape), wood tray

Step 1 : using your paper punch (heart shape), cut lots of hearts into the sheet of red paper.

Step 2 : then cut one bigger heart in the felt : 5,5 cm (height) by 6,5 cm (width). If you don’t have felt, you can still use other fabrics or paper.

Step 3 : embroider the world « Love ». Work the needle and the white thread through the felt (or paper) to create the world. Don’t panic if it’s not perfect. Secure the end by tying a knot.

Step 4 : Measure the tray and cut a thread using the same lenght. Then try to create a pattern (for my tray, I used 6 paper hearts on each sides and 6 paper hearts on the front).

To paste the hearts to the thread and the tray, you will have to :

-turn the heart on the reverse side and place the red thread on top of them

-cut small pieces of adhesive tape to paste the heart to the thread.

-then paste the thread to the tray with adhesive tape.

To paste the bigger heart, place 2 pieces of adhesive tape on the back of the heart.

All you have to do is gather his or her favorite drink and few snacks, and voilà !

A kind and caring gift for someone special ❤
